1. Who is responsible

2. Hosting and delivery (Cloudflare)

This site is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you visit, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the requested page and the time of access, in order to deliver the site and protect it against attacks. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure, working website). Cloudflare is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Details: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

3. Analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics)

If enabled, this site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and does not build cross-site profiles. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

4. Contact form and e-mail

When you use the contact form, the name, e-mail address and message you enter are sent to this website's server (a Cloudflare Worker) and forwarded to my inbox by Cloudflare Email Routing, solely to answer your enquiry. No third-party form service is used. E-mails to contact@geoli.eu are forwarded to my inbox by Cloudflare Email Routing. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps before a possible contract) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (answering enquiries). Messages are deleted when no longer needed, at the latest after 24 months.

5. Private area (/vault)

A private area is available only to people I have invited. Sign-in is handled by Cloudflare Zero Trust Access (a one-time code sent by e-mail). Cloudflare processes your e-mail address and sign-in events, and sets a session cookie that is strictly necessary for the sign-in. Shared files are stored in Cloudflare R2 object storage in Western Europe. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR.

6. Cookies and local storage

Visitors to the public site get no cookies. If you switch between the light and dark theme, your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage. This is strictly necessary for the function you asked for (Art. 4(5) of Romanian Law no. 506/2004) and never leaves your device.

7. Fonts and external content

All fonts are hosted on this server, so no connection to Google Fonts or other font providers is made. Links to LinkedIn are ordinary links; LinkedIn only receives data if you click them.

8. Transfers outside the EU

Cloudflare may process data outside the European Economic Area. Such transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 45–46 GDPR).
